Snowzilla 2016

Snowzilla did not disappoint.  The boys remained in their hot pink skivvies for the duration of the weekend, absolutely LOVING all of the snow…. until it got in their boot, then they were not fans.   My house, as expected, took a beating, as gloves, hats, snow pants, coats, sweatshirts, were strewn in every direction as they traipsed in and out of the house all weekend.   I walk a VERY fine line trying to remind myself that turning into Momzilla over scattered clothes is not the ‘issue’ that I need to go to the mat with, but sometimes I convince myself that clothes on the floor is actually the gateway drug to total deviance and juvie.   I swear…. only mom’s can see a few sweatshirts on the floors and immediately make the jump to worrying their future 18 year-old will escalate from ‘vandalizing’ their bedroom with clothes, to tagging local establishments on the run from the law.  I think these thoughts y’all.  My poor children.

I erred on the side of indifference this weekend.   I haven’t seen snow like this in probably 20+ years, so I let the boys just enjoy the fun of it all, even giving them the same ‘snow day’ all the other kids got yesterday.  We took them sledding, are working on forts, and soon will be tackling the creation of the worlds largest snowman, per Caleb’s request.  I’m sure there are a zillion pictures already on other social media sites or in the news, but these are our’s, so I figured I’d share 🙂DSC_2404DSC_2386 DSC_2399 DSC_2393 DSC_2405 DSC_2410 DSC_2428 DSC_2429 DSC_2436 DSC_2449DSC_2397

Whatcha think???? I'd love to know!
